At olympic,

the odds for this game are:

Roma +200
Lazio +300
Draw -110

Since when are draws given odds like that? Is this a mistake or is the draw really supposedly to be highly valued here? thanks.

This was also the case last weekend with two other games in Serie A and they BOTH ended as a DRAW. This is not a mistake. Both teams have absolutely nothing to play for. Roma is in a little bit of trouble, being only 4 points above relegation, but it is VERY likely that neither team will be motivated to seek a win.

I won't be touching this game but I will look at the result and see what can be learned from this situation. Hopefully it'll be a draw. thanks guys.

If you are implying that the fix is in for this game and the bookies know it, you are wrong. This line merely reflects on the fact that you have two teams who will probably just go through the motions, collect a point each and call it a season. This is what the bookies KNOW.

NO FIX. Only uninspired, boring Serie A soccer.

if i see a draw priced like that again, then i'll take it. But right now, I need to see how this game will end. I'm not saying fix, since this is a high quality league, but this is the first -110 draw i've seen.

wildemu, my comment regarding a fix was directed more towards acw since the link he posted involves discussions about other games that were so called "fixes".

I think I will play the DRAW on this game, but go small.

I hope NORWICH can avoid relegation with a win tomorrow but I just don't see it happening. I think Southampton have a good chance for a win (and survival) at home against a Manchester United team that will be resting most of their regulars ahead of the FA Cup Final.

Good Luck

sometimes these results are arranged beforehand or during the game. very often when the draw is such a short price you see a last minute equaliser.

however there are also a lot of games where the public expects a draw so bets the price right down.

in this case, a loss for either team would be a terrible result so they may play it safe and settle for a draw. but it is a derby and the last chance to get something from the season for the fans. after roma lost 3-1 to lazio earlier in the season i can't see any way they would meekly submit to a draw.

i've backed roma at +225.

markie mark - i don't know how many players man utd will rest. i think it will only be those with niggly injuries. i think they need a good result after the loss to chelsea so they can go into the final on the back of a win. and at least van nisteelroy will be playing all out to impress ferguson and get some form back.

southampton will miss crouch, and are of course an awful side. they're not in the bottom three for nothing.

as a norwich fan, i am worried about our chances of picking up our first away win of the season. i don't know who below us will win, but you have to assume one of the teams will, so a draw won't be enough for us.

roma and lazio hate each other. I too think that someone would win this match but they both know a draw wouldn't hurt them. Roma is in horrible form as of late, and Lazio has leaky defense. We'll see what happens.

As for the relegation, my legs will be shaking as I wake up to watch the match against Fulham. We haven't won on the road this season, but we've had so many opportunities to notch some but we usually give up a late goal or equalizer. That stat is out the window now; Worthy is confident, the players are confident, I know they'll give it all.

West Bromwich has the best chance of notching a win this weekend as although it won't be publicly stated, Portsmouth would enjoy watching Southampton get relegated. This game means nothing to Pompey and they might "tank" it just to see the Saints suffer.

Crystal Palace has a great chance to beat Charlton on Sunday, but something tells me that Charlton's poor form will end at the Valley. This is also another bitter rivalry that could sink the Eagles.

Southampton is facing Manchester United, with all odds against them. This game is set up as a pk, when it easily should be Manchester United -1/2 to -1. Saints are without Crouch so they will have to look elsewhere for their scoring options. I would think United would put in a good effort for this game so they can have some momentum going into the FA Cup final. But we shall see.

I hope Norwich makes it, I really do. But I know that Albion has the best opportunity. Cheers.

Roma:Lazio 0:0

Southampton, Norwich, and Crystal Palace get relegated.

6-0 Fulham, what an embarassing game.

So disappointed.
